| History of Geology Grading Scale |
A combination of point, percentage, and letter grades are utilized for evaluation of student performance in this course. Tests are scored on points, usually 60-70 per test, which are converted into percentage grades. Reports are graded using letters (A to F) with +/- subdivisions. Final course grades are reported as letters (A-F) with +/- designations, according to current university policy. Incomplete (I) grades will be considered only in rare cases, such as serious illness, major accident or military service. An I must be completed within one semester, or it will automatically be converted to an F. The last day to withdraw from a class is the end of the 10th week of the semester.
This course follows the university's academic dishonesty policy. This means specifically that all work (tests, reports) must be written substantially in the student's own words.
Quotations must be indicated clearly. Complete references must be provided for any materials taken
from other publications, such as books, webpages, videos, maps, etc.
