Sand Sheets

Sand sheets are most common on the eastern end of the Sand Hills.  The relief is not as dramatic as with other dune forms.  Thus these are more likely to be cultivated.

These two  Landsat 5  TM scenes from path 30 row 31 depict sheet dunes near the Calamus Reservoir (center) and the town of  Burwell. Both low and moderate relief dunes are visible in the blue-green colored areas of the larger image.
