Flooding in the city of Klodzko, Poland

The Nysa River inundated low-lying sectors in the city of Klodzko. Heavy damage to buildings, streets, vehicles, buried pipes/tanks, and other infrastructure took place. Photo date 9/97; © by J.S. Aber.

Concrete walls of the Nysa River channel were eroded. Lower floors of buildings were submerged and have been temporarily abandonded for human occupation. The high water mark can be seen by the whitish stain on building walls.
