This web page was designed to fulfill an assignment for ES567 Gemstones and Gemology, an online course from Emporia State University.

Gemstones have been adored and cherished for thousands of years.  According to some, each stone is associated with mythical lore and has magical powers. Gemstones have been used to predict the future, as theraputic aids, and as essential elements in some religious and pagan groups.
