Cost:
The cost of the course is $2800 for a Kansas resident. This includes all meals in China; housing in the International Student Dorm; cultural activities; weekend excursions; trip to Shanghai, Suzhou, and Hangzhou; round-trip airfare from Kansas City; hotel Saturday night (12 May); fees at Beijing Union University; and in-state undergraduate tuition. A non-refundable $1200 deposit is due on 16 February 2007. It is non-reundable because once we purchase the airline ticket, we are stuck with the cost. The rest of the money is due Monday, 30 April 2007. You will need to pay for your own passport and Chinese visa.
Money, including deposits, should be paid to Gloria Swift in the International Education Office, which is in the lower level of the Memorial Union. You can also call at 620-341-5374. Payment can be by check, cash, or credit card. Because of a special grant, the first 10 regularly-enrolled, full-time ESU students who pay the deposit will receive a $400 discount from the cost of the trip.
Undergraduate students who are residents of Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas will pay an additional $132 in fees. These students can enroll under the NEARR program. Non-resident undergraduate students not eligible for the NEARR program would pay an additional $672 in tuition and fees.
