Southwest Airlines is the fifth largest airline in Americe. This is no small feat since they have been around only 28 years. SWA has done it with excellent on-time records, very few customer complaints, super baggage handling, and some of the newest planes in the air. SWA has won over 30 Triple Crown awards for monthly performance and five annual Trilpe Crown awards. There isn't much else to say!
If you have ever flown SWA you know that their employees are some of the most customer focused in the world. The employees live by the mission statement every day of the year. Most companies would kill to have employees that showed this kind of commitment to their customers.
Twenty eight years ago, Rollin King and Herb Kelleeher started Southwest Airlines. They had a novel idea "If you get your passengers to their destinations when they want to get there, on time, at the lowest possible fares, and make darn sure they have fun doing it, people will fly your airline." It looks like they knew what their customers wanted!
