Continuous Improvement Team Project
MG423 - Summer 1999

1. Students, in groups of five (approx.), will make an oral presentation to the class
on a Continuous Improvement Project, using the models and techniques
on p. 212-216 of the
text and similar sources.
2. Each presentation will include a flow chart of the process
being imporved. Then, use at least two of the other
tools/methods to demonstrate the improvement process recommended (e.g. fishbone chart,
PDCA cycle, 5W2H, Pareto, etc).
3. The presentation will be considered a portion of the instructional content of the
course.
4. The subject (process) of the presentation may be from work, home, personal experience,
or researched.
5. Each presention will use (at least) three or four
overheads.
6. Two or three questions may be taken from the class on each presentation. Presentation
and question response should fit into a 12 minute time frame.
7. Each presentation will be peer reviewed in class.
